Terrestrial Council is Tamas Czegeny. There is a seperate site for my photography and classical compositions at Czegeny.com.

When I was young I knew that one day the time would come to pick up some instruments and let go of the melodies in my head. The time came, and the year was 2005. In the beginning I decided that going to the edges of what would be defined as music would be the best way to orient myself. In the first year that passed I recorded 2 albums, the first, "Sound Evolution", being a concept in ambient sound creation, and the second, "Green Skies", being a look into a foreign auditory landscape where melodies are starting to become more important.

With the beginning of 2006 came the end of "Green Skies", and the beginning of the largest project up until this point, "Open All Frequencies". It was finished in October 2006, 10 months after work began on it. It's a concept album that reflects my thoughts during an average day, and eventually I'll release it on a wider scale. A full length of my various live set songs called "An Unpleasant Joke" was then made, including final additions and touchups since any live set shows.

I only played one show in 2007, at the Cobalt, and I recorded the set and released it as a short demonstration of where my music was heading. I moved to Montreal in late August of 2007, and recorded "Revisiting the Electronic Landscape of Tomorrow" over the course of my first year in Montreal. I hope to some day release this work as well, but for now it is hidden in the world of my unreleased material.

I decided to move back to Vancouver and began work on "EP 2008.12", which over the course of a few months was completed. In the time of this recording I moved back to Montreal (I was only in Vancouver for a month and a half) and finished the final touches and artwork. The EP was released via Run Records, which is a label I created to release music that would otherwise be inaccessible to the world.

In many ways in the artistic process, it is good to begin new projects at set times or dates, because a little bit of order is good in everything. I like to start things in the new year, so 2009 for me is very important, especially since everything I wanted to do for 2008 was finished before the year ended. This year I plan to expand on everything discovered previously and ultimately work to bring it all together. I'm excited for the future, and the prospect of reaching some major goals that I've set for myself since 2006.
